Perhaps one of Hyrule's greatest mysteries, Fairies were mythical and reclusive beings that despite being found in all corners of the world they were rarely if ever seen. Most of the time the Fairies would go about on their own with little unity or guidance, tending to nature or causing mischief when no one was looking. As the land cried out in pain however, these wild principles would gather together and cause a lot more than a little mischief.

Seasons[]
Seasons replace the Phases that most other factions use to progress through their techtrees. Fairy Seasons are like a modular and non-linear techtree. Where's most factions have to progress through a linear techtree (They start in the Village Phase, progress to Town Phase, and ultimately City Phase), the Fairies, their units and techs require one of the four seasons to be "researched," however the player gets to choose which season to begin a match and the order of seasons to progress through. In theory, this gives the Fairies a much larger set of build-order options for various strategies, especially in the early to-mid game. Each Season has units connected to them with a general theme, but still has some utility so players don't get punished for starting off with any Season of their choosing. Another means to help in that regard is to have several of their units and techs not be connected to any particular season.
Trivia[]
The four symbols in each corner of the Fairies of Tarm faction symbol are the Jewels required to access the Tarm Ruins in The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons.
