Hyrule: Total War was the successor mod to The Legend of Zelda: The Gerudo Wars. The game was a total conversion mod for Medieval II: Total War: Kingdoms by Chasen Lindsey.
In July 2017, it was announced that the game would be ported to the 0 A.D. engine under the new name Hyrule Conquest. The final version of Hyrule: Total War is set to be released in winter 2017.

Hyrule: Total War has largely received positive reviews and reception from both the Legend of Zelda fan community and gaming sites. It has been praised for its expansions of various Medieval II: Total War mechanics, as well the quality of its campaign missions and cinematics. Common criticisms include the game becoming unplayable due to bugs and glitches, as well as continued criticisms of the series' darker interpretation of the Legend of Zelda franchise.
